CARY BARNEY was born and raised in the elite, liberal northeast of the USA and has lived in Madrid since 1991. He holds a BA from Marlboro College in Vermont and an MFA from Yale Drama. Originally a playwright, with plays produced in New York, London and Hollywood, he’s published a book of poems, Maritxu: A Love Story, and has poems published in various journals. He teaches at Saint Louis University in Madrid and is currently working on a collection of short stories.

We will open with an interview with Cary, discussing his life and works, and reading from some of them. After a Q&A he will start the “open mic”. The session will close with refreshments and a book signing.
